The middle of the population... relative to the Bell Curve -- has the most people and yet LEADERS come from the sides... Make sense as there are too many potential leaders in the middle but on the far left and the far right there finally can be found THE LEADER... who essentially reflects the skewed - to the right or the left -- that which is mostly believed.
The problem.. as there IS a problem -- is leadership comes from the sides and the middle has to choose as best they can ... with what information and beliefs they have. The BELIEFS are often wrong but they are ingrained and strong and so....
