I'm -- Kenneth Firestein - a simple, very regular person. Retired from being a Librarian - in a public library, a special library, and a university library.
I'm 69.... I belong to Rotary. I volunteer w/hospice. I drive for Meals on Wheels via Rotary. I sing with the University Chorus. I am a volunteer at my synagogue as a singer/Cantor and their librarian. I've been married twice, divorced twice, and have a girlfriend for a bit over 2 years. I have two adult daughters... one lives in NYC and one in California. Both work and take care of themselves. I'm on good terms with one ex-wife and not with the other. I'm a NY Mets and NY Giants fan... hard times there. I like the Golden State Warriors. I do some blogging (unnoticed I'm sure). I own my home (with a mortgage payment each month) and have lived in that home in Davis, CA since 1980. I went to schools in NY State and grew up in Queens, NY. Went to Bayside HS. I like to read and science fiction is one interest in books and other media. One of my favorite books and films is: "The unbearable lightness of being". I vote each time I can. I don't think I've missed any election and now use mail-in ballots for their convenience. I like to travel and i've been to countries in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. I am happy for the IT/computer revolution. I'm fairly happy, overweight, caring, generally healthy, and I work out regularly. Basically, I feel I'm just a regular guy... maybe a bit more urban and liberal then some. I like museums and theater and movies - of all types. I watch a bit of tv - thanks today to tivo-devices and streaming and downloading. I like all kinds of music. I like beer, wine, and hard-liquor as well as cannabis and I've enjoyed other drugs, too. I loath the idea of being addicted and I am not. I'm Just pretty regular and normal and American.
