Continuing .... and some say - 18 MONTHS... Wow.
I am following very carefully the social isolation thing. I am either in my house or at Deanne's house or in the car... AND soon, today, I will go out for a walk.
I did talk to neighbor Kend - we talked from our respective sides of the street. And I had a virtual lunch with friend Neal.
I think some people are socializing more now in these early days. For instance the Mens Club at a synagogue had more participants for their lunch and learn today then usual. Some people could come because they were not at work and/or because travel wasn't required. Interesting....!
One thing I feel.. is my butt... I am sitting more as I do things on a screen. A stand-up desk would be nice. I think I will be able to figure something out.
i have not looked at MY accounts for stocks, etc... I don''t think I would sell anything and I don't know what I would buy. Just wait....!!!OY.
Daughters seem ok. I think they are basically not going out... or if they do they are minimizing contacts. I hope so !!! They know what they should do and they are in lock-down areas (Oakland, Walnut Creek, NYC).
As Bill Clinton said, I think, "IT'S THE ECONOMY!" It IS the economy which is VERY PROBLEMATIC. True - health is more urgent but along with issues related to hospital and medical shortages (to come) is the immediate anxieties about the state of the State, the Country, Business.. EMPLOYMENT.... money for essentials - including some fun things, too. We all need to eat, sleep, and be clothed AND we also need fun, too.
While in politics... Sanders still has not dropped out and thus, in my opinion, is crazy. Only crazies try to accomplish that which cannot be accomplished. Some things are unknowns. His chances are not. Worse case scenario... The convention will choose someone other then him. Someone who has clearly seen reality and supported the greater good of the Nation and the Party. Sanders is, like Trump, and egomaniac.
